The wait is finally over. The most awaited film in the history of Indian cinema, Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana Part 1, has finally unveiled its official trailer, and the internet has completely broken.
In a marketing masterstroke never seen before in Bollywood, the makers released the Ramayana trailer at 4:15 AM during the Brahma Muhurat on July 30, 2026. While the whole of India was sleeping, director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra woke up the nation with the biggest visual spectacle ever made in India.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana Part 1 is releasing globally in Diwali 2026, and this 4-minute long trailer is just the beginning of a new era
Ramayana movie Breakdown: First Look at Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash
The trailer gives us a glimpse into the world of the mythological epic, introducing Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman and Yash as Ravana.
1. Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama: If there was one man who could carry the divinity, calmness, and power of Lord Rama, it is Ranbir Kapoor. The trailer shows him in two powerful looks - the serene prince of Ayodhya and the fierce warrior in exile. Fans on X are already saying, "Yeh Ranbir Kapoor Ke Yug Ka Aarambh Hai."
2. Yash as Ravana - The Most Dangerous Ravana Ever: The biggest surprise of the Ramayana trailer is Yash. The KGF star is unrecognizable as Ravana. The trailer highlights the impending confrontation between Lord Rama and Ravana, portrayed by Yash, setting the stage for a dramatic retelling. His look is demonic, royal, and toxic - everything a perfect Ravana should be.
3. Sai Pallavi as Sita: Making her debut in a pan-India epic, Sai Pallavi shines as Devi Sita. Her eyes speak divinity, pain, and strength. She is not just beautiful; she is godly.
4. The Supporting Cast: The trailer also confirms Ravie Dubey as Lakshman and as per earlier reports, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, making this the biggest ensemble cast ever.

The trailer - which was released during the auspicious Brahma Mahurat - is about four minutes long, to be precise 4-minute-and-9-second trailer that arrived like a tornado and erupted like a visual volcano.
Ramayana Part 1: Budget, VFX, Music - India's Costliest Film
India's epic film 'Ramayana', directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi, is a Rs 4,000 crore film that releases in two parts starting Diwali 2026.
This makes it the most expensive Indian film ever made, even bigger than Adipurush and Baahubali combined. The VFX is handled by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus and DNEG, the Oscar-winning VFX studio behind Dune and Inception.
And the music? Legendary duo A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer have composed the score. The trailer's background music alone gives you goosebumps - a mix of divine chants and Hollywood-level orchestral score.
